Naming Workshop: Collaborative Idea Generation & Analysis to Align on Selected Names

Overview
This interactive workshop brings your team (and stakeholders) together to generate, develop, and align on a name for a new product, service, program, or entity. It’s more than just a naming session—it’s also a team-building and innovation training experience where participants learn and apply creative thinking frameworks in real time.

Pre-Workshop Preparation
To set the stage, participants complete a short set of self-paced activities:

  • Read a brief outlining the entity or solution to be named
  • Watch a short video introducing the challenge, tools, and process
  • Use your AI tools to support understanding and ideation
  • Explore name inspirations and begin collecting ideas

Workshop Experience
In the live session, your team will:

  • Reflect on what makes names effective and memorable
  • Share and build on name ideas using a structured creative process
  • Use AI tools to support both idea generation and selection
  • Collaborate in small groups to refine and develop leading options
  • Vote to align on a final name or shortlist

Along the way, participants will also be introduced to innovation concepts and tools, including:

  • Design thinking process and divergent and convergent thinking
  • Techniques for creative ideation, analysis, and rapid iteration
